The Talent Hunt Program is one of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity's National Projects. The first Talent Hunt was held April 19, 1946, in Charlotte, NC. The need for such a program was born out of the limited opportunities afforded to some American youth to develop and give full expression of their talents. This program provides exposure, encouragement and financial assistance to talented young high school students. Presently, the Local and District Talent programs are competitive, whereas the National Program is a demonstration of first place winners from across the nation.
The original statement of the Talent Hunt idea included this expression: "Creative and outstanding capacities in any honorable activity should be eligible for consideration." As a matter or convenience in presenting a public program, the public displays were limited to the field of music. Since that time the Talent Hunt Program has been expanded to include all of the arts.

This fund helps to cover the expenses to carry out the Community Family Reunion and Back-to-School BBQ. All food, back-to-school supplies, water, educational games, bouncy houses, slip-n-slides, tents, tables, etc. are covered by money that are raised in advanced of the event. The more money raised, the more we can give to the community.

In July 2007, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. made a pledge to prevent all forms of violence affecting the African-American community. To address domestic, sexual, and community violence, Omega men are taking a critically important step by saying that all forms of violence are wrong, and that we need to mentor and teach each other the importance of healthy, non-violent relationships.

Iota Iota Iota Chapter funds scholarships to high school seniors who are matriculating to a 4 year college or university. Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. awards over $200,000 on an annual basis. Maintaining and growing this fund is critical to the ongoing local success of the Iota Iota Iota Scholarship Awards Program.
You can help us help deserving students by contributing up to $500 per donation. Or, you can contribute more by printing off an invoice and mailing a check to the Chapter P.O. Box address located on the left menu.
The Chapter's General Fund is used to account for all assets and liabilities except those particularly assigned for other purposes in another more specialized fund. This is the primary operating fund for the Chapter. Much of the usual activities are supported by the General Fund. Examples are the purchase of supplies and meeting operating expenditures for the mentoring program. An example of a specialized fund, on the other hand, is the Omega Youth Leadership Conference fund that accounts for financial resources used for supporting the administrative cost for the conference. For instance, a speaker's honorarium associated with the program, room rental fees and other associate costs would fit under this category.
With the significant growth in our youth mentoring and community service initiatives, in 2009 Iota Iota Iota Chapter created sponsorship and donation opportunities for corporations and individuals to support our community-based programs: 1) Saturday/Sunday Scholars Program, 2) Isuthu Mentoring Program, 3) Adopt-a-School Program, & 4) Omega Summer Youth Leadership Conference.
Youth mentoring contributions are used to support educational program material development, quarterly outings (corporate, academic, cultural, social), and technology acquisition and maintenance. In addition, community service contributions are used to support several programs including our annual back-to-school (school supply) drive, Talent Hunt program, Community holiday party and toy drive, safety awareness days, and neighborhood beautification days.
